Will Video Increase Brand Awareness and Sales?

As a marketer, have you leveraged the power of online video yet?

Marketers need to be specific, unique and creative with their message. Done well… you could see some amazing results.

Here is a great example of a company using video to increase their brand exposure for a better bottom line! If you haven’t seen the video series yet, you need to… It’s a MUST!


Here is an interview with the marketing team and creators of Will It Blend. They have almost 5 million views and climbing on their YouTube Channel and since the launch of this video series, they have increased sales by 700% just with their base model product.

Here are a few examples as to why these videos have become so popular and have helped them increase their business;

  • They know what makes them unique: The goal with their video series was to create Brand Awareness and they did that by focusing on one key message that they felt made their products better then any other.
  • They make It interesting & fun: If you want it to be memorable and forward-able, then consider how you can make your Brand Awareness video fun, exciting & entertaining.
  • They integrate sharing tools: Make it easy for your viewers & followers to share your video with others. Give them the tools to forward to a friend, share on facebook, twitter, etc. This will help you extend your reach and increase your Brand Awareness.
  • They Are Consistent: They stick to a single message… “The product will blend anything”. They maintain the same format, style, flow and message. They drive their point home by presenting example after example.
  • They Are Honest: I think the reason why online videos are so popular is for a few reasons; First, Seeing is believing - they don’t just tell people how great their product is… they show them. People want to see for themselves how wonderful this product is. Secondly, It’s Entertaining - People always tend to take the easy path. Watching a video is much easier and entertaining then reading though the features and benefits you have listed. Video provides visual, audible & emotional aspects that captivates the viewer.

So, here’s your challenge: Find out what makes your products and services unique and be creative with YOUR message ;-)
